Hockey is a Canadian Game and there is no doubt that Winnipeg is a hockey town. We may not have an NHL team anymore but that does not mean that we have lost any of the passion and spirit for the game.
The Manitoba Moose first came to the city in 1996 and since then fans have rallied behind our team with as much enthusiasm as any NHL fans. Besides the NHL is overrated!
With the building of the new MTS arena in 2005, fans continue to flock to catch a good old hockey game.
If you are travelling through Winnipeg in the winter, catching a Manitoba Moose game should be atop your list of things to do. It’s truly a ‘Canadian’ thing to do!
