Les Jupes are a new band from the centre of Canada versed in expansive musical landscapes, sharp lyrics, and an observer’s eye for the world. They are four Anglos with a French name making big, broad, and determined music. And they are at the centre of a prairie renaissance growing around Head in the Sand Records.

Over the course of the next few posts, we’re going to bring people our world here at the HI-Winnipeg. Winnipeg being a cultural hub, we’re going to profile our staff that encompass the HI-Winnipeg hostel, Lo Pub and Lo Bistro.

Wow people! We have reached 19 photographs entered into the contest. A lot of people are starting to take note of this contest and I guess, it really is “Manitoba Time!”
We have another two weeks before the end of the contest and want to expand the vast array of photographs that we have already taken in. Lets make the job of the judges just that much more difficult. We have started to plan out the celebrations here at the hostel in the one and only Lo Pub for June 17th @ 6pm. Save the date, come down and celebrate! It should be a grand ol’ time.
